Canadian home sales to ease pace next year
According to MLS® forecasts from the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), national housing sales will reach a record this year, but the pace of sales will ease toward the latter half of this year and into 2022. The national average home price is forecast to rise by 19.3% on an annual basis to just over $677,775 in 2021. Sales are forecast to continue trending back towards more typical levels through the latter half of the year and into 2022, due to limited supply and higher prices.
